Sub: Intimation regarding change of address of the Registered Office of the Stock Brokers/Sub-Brokers – Revised procedure

 

 

The Exchange has received a Circular from SEBI bearing reference No.SEBI/MIRSD-II/SEs/18831/2010 dated 6th September,2010 on the captioned subject.  The contents of the said Circular are reproduced below for information and implementation by the trading members.

Dear Sir/s,

Sub:

Intimation regarding change of address of the Registered Office of the Stock Brokers/Sub-Brokers – Revised procedure

 

  1. It has been decided that henceforth, whenever intimations are received from the stock exchanges regarding change of registered office address of its stock brokers, such changes would be updated in our data base and intimation to this effect would be provided to the stock exchanges with an endorsement to the brokers concerned.  You are, therefore, advised not to send the original certificate of registration of the stock brokers along with their intimations of change.  Further, whenever the stock brokers have multiple membership, they must inform the change of address, to all the Exchanges simultaneously and confirm it in their letter.

 

  1. The stock broker should also inform all its clients about the change in address and should confirm it while writing to the Exchange. 

 

  1. The aforesaid procedure would apply to sub-brokers as well.

 

  1. The Stock exchanges are advised to ensure compliance with the above.
