Members are hereby informed that as per SEBI (Central Database of Market Participants) Regulations, 2003 (MAPIN Database), it has been made a mandatory obligation on intermediaries and other entities registered with SEBI to obtain Unique Identification number for themselves, their employees, directors and associates. SEBI has set a deadline of 31.3.04 for specified intermediaries/Stock Exchanges to obtain unique ID for themselves and their related persons. SEBI has appointed NSDL as the service provider to create and maintain the database for this purpose. NSDL has appointed five Points of Service (POS) for receiving applications, issuing unique identification number and identity cards. NSDL has advised POSs to set up camp offices across the country to facilitate the process for the intermediaries. The camp details of POSs will be available on NSDL website www.nsdl.co.in and https://mapin.nsdl.com, as and when such camp schedules are made. Members are advised to follow the schedules.
